* The date you need the costume by. This means either the date of the con you are attending, or when you would like to
recieve the costume. For full costumes, I ask you you email me 2 to 3 months before the date you need the costume by.
* The costume you want to order. Please include: Name of Jrocker and at least 3 pictures of the costume (preferably
as many as you have that show the costume from front, back and side). I will search for more on my own time though if need be
^_^ Please see
"Previous Quotes" for examples of previous quotes I have given. If yours is there, please include the call numbers.
For example: FC001 stands for "Full" Gardenia Mana. I just started this system with
quotes I have given out from March-June 2006, so it is still in it's early stages!
* Your measurements.
* Extra (if applicable): If you'd like specific changes made to the costume, please request them in this first email.
I.E., different colors, different fabrics, different shape of garment.
THE COMMISSIONS PROCESS #2: A quick reference to the process of getting a commission done by Elderwood Cradle:
* When you ask for a full costume quote, I will give you two quotes. One for "Full" and one for "Partial." I recommend
"Partial" for those with smaller budgets -- they exclude things such as belts, hats, specific small details, etc. See
"Previous Quotes" for examples. FC001, for example, stands for "Full" Gardenia Mana. I just started this system with
quotes I have given out from March-June 2006, so it is still in it's early stages!
* My quotes combine the costs for: fabric, notions, tools (if applicable), Shipping & Handling, and working hours.
* I will send out various progress pictures of your costume! It is fine to ask for them when you are interested to see
the process.
* You can send your payment in various parts if it is more convenient for you. Please see chart:
In 3 parts: you can combine either 2 money orders (or 2 payments of concealed cash) & 1 payment through PayPal.
In 2 parts: you can send either 2 payments in: money orders, concealed cash, or personal check.
In 1 part: you can send either: money orders, concealed cash, or personal check.
THE COMMISSIONS PROCESS #3: Some General Guidelines & Etiquette
* I only accept orders for Jrock costumes. Not Jpop. Please see Doko Ni in my Links page for anime/manga/game commissioners. The only other
costumes/wigs that I will create are from Ai Yazawa (Paradise Kiss, NANA, etc.) or Kaori Yuki's
(Angel Sanctuary, God Child, etc.) work. Thanks for your understanding! ^_^
* I will not include a wig in a quote unless you ask for it to be included.
* You can purchase accessories or wigs. Accessories can include a single piece of a costume, like a shirt or eye patch.
* I cannot take orders that involve crafting armor (that is, anything involving fiberglass -- such as in Psycho le Cemu's costumes), mainly because it's far too
time consuming and while in the "real world" I conserve swords and armor, I'm not an expert in making them!
* When you email me, please try to use proper grammar! I appreciate periods and commas!! Really, I do!
* Please DO NOT enter Hall Cosplay contests with Elderwood Cradle costumes. You can only enter a masquerade if
you are not competing for an award.
* Each costume is made with love -- literally. There is a reason why I only do Jrock costumes: because I love Jrock as much
as I love to sew.
